Many steps in the right direction

A corporate social responsibility partner of BHSF has taken a £4,600 step forward.

The donation was the result of 12 walkers from BHSF taking part in the St Basil’s Challenge along a 28-mile course around Derbyshire’s Peak District.

Peter Maskell, chief executive of BHSF who was also took part, presented the cheque to Blair Kessler, head of fund-raising at St Basil’s, the charity which looks after the young homeless in the city.

Mr Maskell said: “The amount raised beat our previous record raised on the annual challenge by several hundred pounds. It was a great effort by all those who took part and we will be hoping to exceed that in next year’s challenge around the Brecon Beacons on 20 June”.
