Amy plays her card right

The work of 10-year-old Amy Hare from St John’s School, Ladywood, will soon be dropping through over a thousand letter-boxes throughout the country.

Amy won the annual competition sponsored by BHSF, the nationwide healthcare insurer, to design their official Christmas card.

There was a winner in each class of the school and Amy took the overall prize which means her design forms the front of the BHSF card for 2008 which will be sent to clients.

BHSF also made a donation to the school funds as well as supplying sweets to all the pupils.

Peter Maskell, chief executive, said: “The competition is one we are pleased to be involved with because every pupil in the school takes part.

“Amy’s design was not only festive but it had a funny side to it as well and we know our clients will enjoy it”.
