Achievers get their BHSF just rewards

BHSF staff who received an award

BHSF has put its faith behind Marie Curie Cancer Care, by sponsoring the charity for the next three years as it prepares to launch its £20m appeal to replace the aging West Midlands hospice in Solihull.

BHSF has a number of corporate social responsibility partners and Marie Curie is the latest.  Others include Birmingham Rathbone, the organisation which helps those with learning disabilities, St Basil’s, the charity that looks after homeless youngsters and Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Peter Maskell, chief executive, said: “Marie Curie does such wonderful work in making life a little easier for those with cancer, that we thought it only right that we should help with a sponsorship deal over three years”.

The announcement was made at the company’s annual dinner at the same time as five awards of cut-glass goblets were made to BHSF staff members.  Achievement awards based on the company’s mission statement went to Geoff Guerin, Archie Ryan, Linda Herbert and Paul Brady and an overall achiever award went to Mel Wood.
Peter Maskell said: “It is important that the company recognises the work our staff do in making us a success”.
