Award Winning Innovation

BHSF is celebrating the success of its product innovation with its Intermediary partner Heath Lambert.

Having collaborated on the use of a health cash plan cover to reduce PMI costs to employers, the two firms were rewarded at this year’s Health Insurance Award, as Heath Lambert were presented with the award for ‘Best use of a health cash plan’.

Speaking at the Grosvenor House Hotel ceremony, Karen Gamble, who headed the project for Heath Lambert, commented that “the key was to find partners willing to work to meet the client’s aims and objectives and who were not restricted in the service they could offer. In working with BHSF and Healix, we had two of the most innovative players in healthcare on our team and were therefore able to deliver an excellent solution”.

Peter Maskell, CEO of BHSF said on the night, “We are delighted. Much hard work went into producing the solution and there is ongoing work to ensure the excellence of customer service in its delivery. To be recognised again by the industry for our innovation is testament to the talent and dedication of the team at BHSF”.

The ability to combine a tightly managed discretionary trust and the features of a health cash plan gives additional benefits and cost savings to employers. Whilst the award this year recognises an innovative approach, Gamble advises that she is already in discussions with BHSF to push the boundaries still further and to establish the concept as a recognised alternative to traditional PMI; who knows they may even be back again next year?
