Get your running shoes out of the cupboard!
The Coventry Transport Museum helped launched the Coventry Fun Run this year, and with the new website having gone live, it can only mean that preparations are well under way for this year’s Coventry Fun Run. This year’s Fun Run is to be held on Sunday 27th June, and has raised well over £1.2million for lots of Coventry charities and organisations.
The organisers, Coventry Three Spires Round Table, are working harder than ever to make sure they can build on last year’s successful event. They plan to make the Run and the Charity Village bigger, better and more fun for the whole family.
Chairman of the Coventry Three Spires Round Table, John Townsley, says: “We are very excited about this year’s event. We’ve been working since the end of last year’s event to make sure it raises much needed funds for local charities, and that everyone has a great day. He continues: “Now that winter is out of the way, it’s time for the people of Coventry to get out their running shoes, round up friends and family, and make it a great day out – whilst raising some cash for charities and good causes.”
The event is once again sponsored by BHSF, the Midlands based health insurer, without whom, the event couldn’t take place. Peter Maskell, Chief Executive of BHSF, added: “We had a great time at the event last year. We met lots of the fun-runners, and had a great laugh with them in the Charity Village. All here at BHSF are pleased to have supported Coventry, and we look forward to building on the success this year.”
BHSF has been actively supporting the health of Midlands’ workers since 1873, and the support of Coventry Fun Run builds on this tradition and upon BHSF’s work in the community.
The Coventry Fun Run is unique, the Fun-runners themselves get to decide who they raise money for. So they can pick any charity or cause they like. Entry forms and further information is now available from the updated website, visit www.coventryfunrun.co.uk now, and enter online.
