BHSF support for their neighbours

Peter Maskell presents team Karis with £2,000 towards the neighbourhood scheme

A team from the Karis Neighbourhood Scheme working in the Ladywood, Edgbaston and Harborne areas of Birmingham, raised £5,000 for the project after completing the Birmingham Half Marathon.

BHSF, the not-for-profit health insurer, donated £2,000 towards the total and chief executive Peter Maskell said: “The Scheme is located in Monument Road near to our offices and we felt it was a very worthwhile cause on our doorstep to support.”

The Karis Neighbour Scheme was set up in 1999 by a group of local GPs, working with several churches in the area, to offer support throughout the area.
