BHSF Sponsors Coventry Fun Run
On Sunday 27 May 2012, the 29th annual Coventry Fun Run will take place, open to runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities. Starting at 10.30am, the route of just over three and a half miles will start and finish in War Memorial Park. An added benefit of the event is that it allows participants to raise money for a charity of their choice, meaning that entrants can run for a cause that is close to their heart.
The Fun Run is a great family event that gets people throughout the region keeping fit as well as raising money for charity. This is the fourth year running that Midlands-based health insurer and employee benefits provider BHSF is sponsoring the event, at which it is hoped even more runners will turn out than ever before.
Event chairman, Trevor Binch, of the Coventry Three Spires Round Table who organises the event, hopes to see a great turnout with everyone getting involved.
He said: “Times are not easy at the moment for charitable organisations, and every last penny counts. In order to ensure all money raised by runners goes to their nominated charity, it is important we have corporate sponsors like BHSF, who are able to help with the cost of hosting such a large event. We are so pleased for the continued support from BHSF.”
Supporting the Fun Run goes beyond simply being an added extra for BHSF. Sales and Marketing Director, Brian Hall, said: “The Coventry Fun Run is a valued tradition and one that we take pride in supporting. BHSF considers it key that we look after the health and wellbeing of the local community. Not only is supporting the Fun Run a great opportunity to become involved with a well-established event but doing what we can for the community is also at the core of our business ethos.”
