Plan4Life is a general insurance policy designed to pay a cash sum to you on diagnosis of cancer (and certain other named conditions). The policy may help meet the needs of those who are looking to obtain financial assistance should they be diagnosed with cancer.
Plan4Life covers cancers, carcinoma in situ, and tumours of the brain, spinal cord and meninges.
The level of benefit payable varies depending on the type of cancer and the level of cover you choose. You will not be able to claim for any diagnosis made before the period of three months has elapsed from the start date of the policy; or for pre-existing conditions. Further details on pre-existing conditions can be found in the policy details. If you are a smoker benefits are only payable at half the stated amounts.

† Anyone aged 18 - 64 years inclusive, and who is normally resident in the United Kingdom; can apply for a policy, which will continue until your 75th birthday when it would automatically cease. The premium payable is dependent on your age and no medical examination or questionnaire is required to apply for cover. Premiums increase with age in accordance with the premium table; which can be found by clicking on the Benefits & Premiums link on the right hand side. Premiums are collected at the new rate on the first payment date after the birthday on which you move into a new age band.
