Financial support that helps cover the cost of cancer
Cancer can seriously affect employees’ physical, mental and financial wellbeing. Research from cancer charity – Macmillan, shows that 30% of people with cancer experience a loss in income*. Our cover gives employees up to £20,000** (following a malignant cancer diagnosis) to help them cope with the cost of cancer.
They have the freedom to use the money how they want to. It could be used to cover lost wages, pay for increased medical or travel costs, or go on the trip of a lifetime. Employers don’t need a big wellbeing budget to introduce this benefit. Our Plan4Life cancer cover is employee-funded. All the employer needs to do is set up some simple admin, and let us take care of everything else.
Employees can opt in to the cover that’s right for them, and the premium is taken from their monthly salary via payroll deduction.
We don’t ask employees to complete a medical exam, and we don’t look at their family history either – even if there’s a history of cancer. We’ll cover anyone aged between 16 and 68 at the time of application, as long as they’re a resident of the UK. Our premiums are the same for everyone, no matter what their age is.
