Peter Maskell, FCII, Chartered Insurer
Group Chief Executive

Peter Maskell joined BHSF at the beginning of 1999 and became Chief Executive in May of that year. He was appointed to the Board of BHSF Limited in June 2000 and of BHSF Group Limited on 16 May 2003.

Dr Carol Coombes, OBE, D Univ
Non-executive Director

Dr Carol Coombes has served as Chief Executive of the Citizens Advice Bureaux in Birmingham and later became Senior Programme Director for Common Purpose in the West Midlands. She moved to Carat, an organisation dedicated to transforming business leadership and then left to set up her own business, Cracking Leadership. Carol was awarded a doctorate from Birmingham City University for her Outstanding Contribution to Business and in November 2009 was awarded an OBE for her Services to Leadership and her Charitable Work. Carol joined the board of BHSF Group Limited in October 2014.

Hilary D'Cruz, LLB (Hons)
Non-executive Director

Hilary D'Cruz is a Partner in Ansons in Lichfield where she is Head of Corporate and Commercial Law. Hilary joined the board of BHSF Group Limited as a non-executive director in October 2014.

John Hardy, B.Com, FIA
Non-executive Director

John Hardy qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1982 while at the head office of Britannic Assurance where he held a number of senior positions including Senior Underwriter, Product and Business Development Manager and Business Architect. Since retiring from Britannic John has undertaken consultancy work and currently works as a volunteer for the Citizens Advice Bureau. John joined the board of BHSF Group Limited as a non-executive director in July 2014.

Andrew Milner, LL.D, DMS, DipM, FIMgt, MCIM
Non-executive Director

Andrew Milner is an experienced local authority chief officer and company director. He was previously a director of BHSF from 2001 to 2009 and he was reappointed to the Group board in 2013.

Brian Hall, FInstSMM, Chartered Director
Managing Director, BHSF Employee Benefits Limited

Brian Hall has been with BHSF since August 2001 and was elected to the Board of BHSF Limited in October 2001 and of BHSF Group Limited on 2 July 2003. He was appointed Managing Director of BHSF Employee Benefits Limited on 1 February 2014.

Charlotte Taylor, MA, BA(Hons) ACIS, LLDip
Director and Company Secretary

Charlotte Taylor joined BHSF as Assistant Company Secretary in 2005, and became Company Secretary in 2008. She was appointed a director of all the Group's operating companies in 2012, and in 2014 was appointed a director to the Group board.

Neil Mackay, BSc, FCA
Non-executive Director

Neil Mackay had many years of successful accountancy, commercial and banking experience before joining Advantage Business Angels in 2002 where he is Managing Director. He was appointed to the board of BHSF Group Limited on 14 January 2009.

David Nuttall, MBA, Chartered MCIPD
Group HR Director

David Nuttall joined BHSF as Company Secretary in January 2002, on our acquisition of The Health Scheme, and was appointed Customer Service Manager in October 2003. He became Customer Service Director on his appointment to the subsidiary company Boards on 1 August 2008 and HR and Operations Director on 1 January 2010. In February 2014, he was appointed Group HR and Insurance Operations Director.

William G Begg, BSc
Non-executive Director

Bill Begg was appointed to the Boards of BHSF's subsidiary companies on 1 May 2008. Having retired after a career in the automotive industry, he still maintains a number of business interests in the UK and abroad.

Jill Bonehill
Non-executive Director

Mrs Jill Bonehill had a career in general insurance with Legal and General, Minster Group and Cigna before a career break to have her children. She now works for the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and is a volunteer adviser for the Citizens Advice Bureau. Jill was appointed a non-executive director of BHSF Limited and BHSF Employee Benefits Limited in May 2014.

Managing Director - Occupational Health

Philip McCrea was the owner of Occupational Health Consultants (OHC) which he formed in 1994. The Company was bought by BHSF Occupational Health in 2013 and Philip joined the Company as Head of Clinical Governance. He joined the board in November 2014 and became Managing Director on 1 February 2015.

Susan Burke, BSc, RGN, Dip OHN,CMIOSH, MA
Clinical Director - BHSF Occupational Health

Sue Burke was a principal at Abbott Burke Associates, an Occupational Health provider, until its purchase by BHSF in 2012. She joined the board of BHSF Occupational Health Limited in September 2012 and was appointed Clinical Director in April 2014.

Ian Galer, BA(Hons), FCA
Group Finance Director

Ian Galer joined BHSF in May 2013 as Head of Finance and immediately joined the Senior Management Team. He became Group Finance Director on 1 September 2014.

Paul Brady
Head of Contact Centre

Paul Brady joined BHSF in 1999 and held management positions within Sales and Marketing and Customer Services. He was appointed Head of Contact Centre in January 2009.

Geoff Guerin, MBA, BA(Hons)
Managing Director, BHSF Limited

Geoff Guerin joined BHSF on the Graduate Programme in 2006. He became the Assistant IS Manager in 2010 and was appointed to the Senior Management Team as Head of Business Improvement in May 2011. In February 2014 he was appointed Group Business Improvement and Quality Director. Geoff was appointed Managing Director on 1 December 2015.

Jim Winter, FCMI
Head of Field Sales

Jim Winter commenced employment with BHSF in May 2009 as Regional Sales Manager, South, moving from AIG UK where he held the position of National Accounts Manager. He was promoted to National Sales Manager in September 2010 and appointed to the Senior Management Team as Head of Field Sales in July 2011.

Mike Tresham, B.Com, CMgr
Head of Insurance Operations

Mike Tresham joined BHSF on the graduate programme in November 2003. He became the Assistant Customer Service Manager in 2009 and Operations Manager in 2011. He was appointed to the Senior Management Team as Head of Operations in July 2013 and was appointed Head of Insurance Operations in February 2014.

Shelley Rowley, BSc, MSc
Head of Marketing

Shelley Rowley joined BHSF as Marketing Manager in 2011. She was appointed to the Senior Management Team as Head of Marketing in July 2013.

Steve Munday, CIRM
Head of Technical, Compliance and Risk

Steve joined BHSF in 2006 as Technical and Compliance Officer. He became Technical and Compliance Manager in 2011. He was appointed to the Senior Management Team as Head of Technical, Compliance and Risk in October 2013.

Melanie Tavener, BA (Hons), MSc, Chartered MCIPD
Head of HR

Melanie Tavener joined BHSF on the graduate programme in 2005. She became HR Officer in 2009 and in this time completed her MSc and achieved her Chartered Membership of the CIPD. Melanie is accredited by the British Psychological Society and runs BHSF's in-house psychometric profiling. Melanie became Head of HR in July 2014.

Gary Cowdrill
Non-executive Director

Gary Cowdrill, Managing Director of Board Evaluation Limited joined the board of BHSF Group Limited as a Non-executive Director in December 2015. A chartered accountant and former Group Finance Director of the West Bromwich Building Society, Gary has had wide experience in the financial services industry over many years, covering areas including corporate finance, treasury and structured finance. Over a career spanning five decades, he has also worked on many acquisitions, disposals, new business initiatives and financing transactions.

Richard Evanson
Head of IT

Richard Evanson joined BHSF in March 2015 and was appointed Head of IT on 1 December 2015.

Tom Ross
Head of Finance

Tom Ross joined BHSF in September 2014 as Financial Accountant. He was appointed Head of Finance on 1 March 2015.

Adrian Hope
IT Director

Adrian joined BHSF as IT Director in September 2016.

Charmaine Leech
Head of Risk

Charmaine joined BHSF as Head of Risk in October 2016.

Jonathan Byfield
Head of Intermediary

Jonathan joined BHSF in 2014 as Broker Manager (South). Jonathan was appointed Head of Intermediary in July 2016.

Dean Mortimer
Deputy Managing Director of BHSF Occupational Health

Dean was a founding director of M3OH Services until its purchase by BHSF in 2015. Dean was appointed Deputy Managing Director of BHSF Occupational Health in November 2016.
