Group Life Assurance

Most employees have loved ones who depend on them in one way or another and whilst many employees have life insurance of their own, many rely on the death in service cover provided by their employer.

BHSF's Group Life Assurance offers a community-rated approach to death in service benefit, providing you with clarity of pricing, a simple no-fuss administration process and of course real value for money.

With BHSF's Group Life Assurance, you can choose from either £25,000, £50,000, £75,000*or £100,000* of benefit cover. Premiums are flat-rated which means that you pay the same premium for each employee.

The Group Life policy is written under a Master Trust Arrangement in order to give maximum protection to you and your employees. The trust provision ensures that the Group Life policy is not treated as a benefit in kind for taxation purposes and that any benefits payable under the company's policy are free from taxation at the point of payment. The trustees also carry the responsibility for ensuring that benefits are payable to the entitled beneficiaries, thus protecting the employer from any claims by the deceased employee's estate.

* A maximum of 100 employees can be covered under £75,000 or £100,000 levels of cover. Companies with 101 employees or more will be subject to prior approval and agreed on a case-by-case basis.
