Building healthier, stronger futures: our new Health & Wellbeing Plan for employees.
To make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the people we reach.
We have a strong commitment to being a responsible organisation, not just because it’s good for our business and our community but because we know it's the right thing to do. So, whether we’re reaching out to our employees, customers, partners, communities or the wider society, we do so with a clear understanding of our purpose: “To make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the people we reach.”
We support charities through a variety of methods. These include company wide money raising activities, cash matching of staff fund raising and by volunteering our time and skills. In 2024, BHSF employees gave their time and raised more than £6,000 for charities to raise awareness and support our charity partners. The BHSF Group donated £16,000 by gift aid during 2024.
We think it’s important to remember where we have come from. We’ll never forget our roots and the impact we have had on our local communities. That’s why we still engage with the people around us. We work with our communities, reviewing our activity regularly to make sure we’re making a real difference. We don’t just support them with money, we also donate our time and help with events and activities.

We seek to make a positive impact on the environment and the planet through initiatives and projects designed to reduce any damaging effects of our business. We continue taking steps toward improving our impact on the environment, including:
Established in 1972, the Trust born from BHSF supports charitable organisations that help people in need. The Trust not only funds patient amenities in local hospitals and medical charities, but also medical research, education, and science.

Section 172 of the Companies Act 2006 outlines a director’s duty to act in a way that they consider, in good faith, will promote the success of the company for the benefit of the company's members as a whole.
Due to statutory reporting requirements, certain companies within the BHSF Group must include a section 172 statement in the Strategic Report of their Annual Report. This statement aims to help readers understand how directors have considered the factors listed in section 172(1).
