Extra care for customers

Sometimes we need a little help. Below is some support we can offer to help if you're struggling with mental health concerns, financial worries or dealing with a loss.

We’re here to help

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you with your policy.

You may need help for a few weeks or months. You may want help for much longer. Whatever help you need, please let us know so that we can support you.

We’ll ask you whether we can make a note on your policy. This will let all our team know how they can help you, so you don’t need to tell us every time you get in touch. You can have this note removed or changed at any time, just let us know.

Our telephone number is 0121 454 3601 and our email address is helpdesk@bhsf.co.uk

Helping you through life’s changes and circumstances

This is our promise to you:

  1. We know that everyone may need help, at any stage of their life, under lots of different circumstances (such as ill health, bereavement, losing your job, financial difficulties, not feeling confident asking for help).
  2. We understand that you may need more help from us than our usual processes.
  3. We want to listen to your circumstances and, with your permission, make a brief note on your policy.
  4. We’ll ask you how we can help and also how long you may need this help for.
  5. If you give us permission, we’ll make a brief note on your policy so that you don’t have to keep letting us know.
  6. We will not share this outside BHSF and the note can be changed or deleted at any time.
  7. We want to treat each situation carefully, to help you reach a good outcome.

Please call us on 0121 454 3601 or email us at if you would like to find out more.

Is managing your money worrying you?

If you’re finding it hard to manage your money, it can be very difficult to talk about it. We may have a way of helping you. We can agree how we will help and how long for.

This is our promise to you:

  1. We’ll try to make things easier for you.
  2. We’ll walk you through your policy options
  3. We’ll try to help you keep your policy, if you want to.

Please call us on 0121 454 3601 or email us at helpdesk@bhsf.co.uk if you would like to find out more.
